Lacey Blissit graduated magna cum laude from the University of
Texas – Arlington on a full softball scholarship. Prior to UT-Arlington,

Lacey competed in the NJCAA on full scholarship at

Hill College, where she obtained an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts.
At UTA, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology

and double-minor in English and Biology. Coach Blissit
has competed as a student-athlete in various levels of competition
including high school, Select (Gold division), NJCAA, and NCAA-
Division I (Southland Conference). She was a team captain during
three out of four years of collegiate eligibility, and has earned
several academic and athletic awards, including NJCAA Academic
All-American and NCAA Southland Conference All-Academic Catcher.

Coach Blissit completed her student teaching in Physical
Education in the Arlington ISD and The Oakridge School as a
basketball coach with former UTA assistant basketball coach,
Shannon Brown. In her second year at CHHS, Coach Blissit is
enjoying teaching Pre-AP English I and English III and her coaching
responsibilities as the 9th Grade Girls Basketball coach and Varsity
Assistant/Head JV Softball coach.

Outside of school, Coach Blissit enjoys relaxing and spending time with her husband, family and friends. Coach Blissit has served in leadership roles in youth, college, and young adult Christian ministries. She is passionate about being a positive influence in the lives of the people around her and enjoys leading students to the realization of their value as an individual.

Coach Blissit considers it a blessing to be employed at Colleyville Heritage High School and eagerly anticipates the journey of the 2009-2010 basketball season! Go Panthers!!!
